The issue is when you connect them to a pc and try to use the microphone function it automatically goes into a mode which turns down the quality of the sounds tremendously

This is not really the fault of the headphones themselves but a limitation of bluetooth

Disable the mic and it goes back into the high quality bluetooth mode for much better sound

I have not tried them wired to the pc but it should retain the higher quality as it is not being limited by bluetooth
