I do have a high quality screen protector on the ipad as well but same screen protector on his 9 yo brother’s ipad same ipads same day bought and i paid at the verizon store for the otter box and when same little brother used it and dropped it on our hardwood floor he uses big brothers rarely when his battery dies the screen cracked not bad but after a few drops and 8 months there were about 4 lines across screen that affected touch so we had to pay the 175 to replace screen on that one with otterbox case

With the much larger screen and it being thin and quite slippery

With the normal case and no case she was having a hard time holding it in a way that she was not touching the screen
