Pros

Bmw x5 rails work well, are easy to install, and fit perfectly. Easy to install and easy to fit. Fits perfectly…other generics not so well.

Easy to install, fit and finish typical bmw quality. Road noise is minimal, although i keep the moonroof shade shut to keep it as quiet as possible.

Expensive but so are all bmw oem product.

Also there were no instructions with the rack so a visit to you tube fixed that.

The rack could be sold with the strip installed so not sure why it's done by the buyer.

Price is higher but i think it’s worth it.

Oddly like many oem items from bmw, bmw does a terrible job of packaging this as well, which are often easily tore up during shipping.

    Oddly like many oem items from bmw bmw does a terrible job of packaging this as well which are often easily tore up during shipping

    They also leave the keys in the lock cores so if package gets set down hard on either end which it invariably will keys will get jammed into the lock cores permanently damaging them

    Unfortunately they cant just send you replacement lock cores so youll end up wasting a staggering amount of time trying to reconstruct the box just to ship it back

    The front bar has mini wind spoilers underneath to quiet the whistle the back ones dont since the front is probably creating turbulence for the back

    However in reality you could put them anywhere that doesnt interfere with the rear hatch opening as the rail is continuous from front to back
