Pros & Cons
Pros
While these are great for any trailer, they are especially crucial for a marine trailer. They are comparable to the ones available in the parts houses and good on price.
The rubber cap goes on snuggly too, as it should. I get my trailer bearings serviced once a year per manufacturer suggestions to keep bearings fresh and greased. Use a rubber mallet to get them started straight.
These are for a 2 hub which is very common. They allow greasing to be made easy. Machining is good, diameter matches axles perfectly.
Highlights
Quality
These caps are designed to keep out dirt, water, and debris, ensuring that the bearings remain well-lubricated and free from contamination.
The chrome coating seems of good quality.
With the cap gone, the grease can liquify and run out of the bearing housing and then the bearings can overheat and self-destruct.
The internal cap is spring loaded which keeps the grease pressurized on the bearings as grease naturally wears and leaks out.
Price
That can cost you bearings, wheel, and even damage your axle.
Great price point for the quality and usefulness of the product.
Packaging/appearance
It would be nice if they were available in a four pack for the trailers that are tandem axles.
Competitiveness
They are comparable to the ones available in the parts houses and good on price.
