Highlights
Quality
The made a great functioning, durable, trailer.
It's durable and sturdy and can take all kinds of abuse.
During the tensioning and truing process i realized the aluminum rim is rather cheap: the joint and valve hole areas are way uneven.
The hinge at u-shaped tongue presses the fender into the tire and causes problems.
Price
For cost and the fact i've pulled a trailer behind my motorcycle for almost 20 years, i went with the bob.
I would without a doubt pay full price for this if i didn't see the opportunity on the side of the road.
The price tag holds some sticker shock for a basket with a wheel but i assure you, if you plan on doing any long distance bike ... Read More
Shipping
Our trip was 180 miles over 4 days.
It took about a week to arrive and i was able to assemble it myself.
I was impressed by the speed in which it arrived ( 21 hrs.
Packaging/appearance
I love it, much easier to pack than paniers, make sure you get the bag with it.
The box was big enough to house the trailer without parts hanging out.
My friends who had the rack and bag setup were looking at 45 minutes at least in the morning to packup.
Competitiveness
I have toured with panniers a fair amount and can tell you that this trailer is a much better choice than panniers.
I've never riden with panniers so i can't compare the experience but i choose this because it looked better than them.
