I do like the gps optional extra and there is a program you can download to play the videos and will extract the gps from it and show on google maps

I actually purchased a hardwire kit from ebay for a little over £5 and although it has not been received yet i may not even use it as there is enough cable to run from the cigar lighter socket round the houses and up the screen edges to the cam and can all be hidden

The video files are saved as mp4 and not the silly mov files and can be played on vlc player or windows media player etc

I then checked the firmware version in settings and it was version 2
