Pros

Winter in the office is so cozy now! This fits the bill. Red is bright and cheerful and matches some of my kitchen ware.

Cons

The lid is held in place by 2 cheap little plastic rods or pins. Even if you try to reposition the lid, it just keeps falling into the kettle. It's very poorly designed with a lid that can so easily be broken. Also, it heats the water much slower.

Still the water smells.

Within 3 weeks of purchase the off/on button quit working. When i click on bodum customer support it takes me to their general website with no link to customer support. Waiting for email response, just going to throw it in the trash.

After a tiny mishap (probably on my part), the product stopped working.

The previous two both failed with the cutoff sensor would immediately shut off when it was turned on.
