Pros

New bodum bistro seems identical in dimensions to the old one. Works great. Doesn't take up much counter space. Dont listen to bad reviews, this thing is great.

Boils 12 oz- enough for a mug of tea- in less than 3 minutes. It heats to boiling very quickly - love this hot pot.

Cons

Still the water smells. After a while it stop again. It's getting returned. No water in it. Switched in the off position.

It heats up water really fast, so that saying about a watched pot never boils is not true with this thing. Also, it heats the water much slower. The design of the kettle is terrible!
