Pros

These are my favorite mugs. They keep hot drinks warmer for a longer period of time. The outside of the mug stays much cooler to the touch.

They are by far heavier and stronger than my 2009 purchase. Please note, these are packaged well, and much stronger than previous versions. Very pleased with the price and the prompt service.

The 15 oz. Mug seems to be much less fragile than the bodum drinking glasses. These mugs are heavy duty and hold a 12 oz beverage with room to spare.

Cons

The mug is claimed to be dishwasher safe. After pre-heating with boiling water for 2 minutes and then again from a starting temp. Glass blows up in the microwave!

If you look at these glasses the wrong way, they shatter. These glasses are more museum piece than functional glassware. Invest in some band-aids and neosporin.

Amazon is either incompetent or maliciously ignoring my requests for help. If they don't get the original order back, they're going to * money out of my bank account.

Price

They are very expensive but i have collected a few at a time till i now have 6.

It's a bit expensive but it's all worth it.

Shipping

They were packed well by amazon and arrived in tact.

The mugs were shipped directly from europe, packed carefully and perfectly.

I haven't received this order yet, but i bought cups earlier and i like them.

(we've had them about 3 weeks) i was nervous having read several reviews about damage in shipping however ours came without a problem.

Packaging/appearance

I was concerned about shipping, but to my surprise the packaging was great.

My only problem is that amazon assumes they are well packed in the manufacturers shipping box.

It broke and starbucks did not have any more.

I notice that they are heavier than the nearly identical one i bought from starbucks.
