Pros

This inexpensive press is it. I always drink several cups and missed the pot warmer feature that drip coffee machines have. This double wall press keeps your java fresh for about an hour. Very solid, bodum makes great stuff.

The handle twists to release the press part so if any grounds got caught in it they are easily removed. The whole apparatus is dishwasher-safe.


Cons

This is a great coffee press - nice minimalist design, good construction and no more cold coffee!

The drip coffee makers take forever to drip the liquid, while the pressed coffee was ready in a few minutes after boiling the water.

Our coffee mugs hold 12 ozs so i have to make it a second time, which only means an additional four minutes for it to brew.

To save money on the old electric bill.

Outside of that, for the price you can't go wrong.

    When i received the new one it worked for a few weeks and then once when plunging a piece came loose and it wouldnt plunge anymore

    Looks like that piece i mentioned earlier has been downgraded to plastic which immediately started causing me trouble and coming loose when i plunged it

    I was eventually able to screw it way down extra tight and now i just tighten it up every week or so to make sure its not coming loose
