Pros & Cons
Pros
The inactive petroleum jelly also feels more soothing. This product is very simple - calendula, an herb that has been used for burns and inflammation forever; and petroleum jelly.
It is a thick, odorless ointment. Works a tad better than the all-purpose cream. Doesn't get rubbed off as easily.
It provides fast relief but doesn't completely take the pain away. It also soothes the affected area and helps promote natural healing. Cold water does a lot more to relieve the pain than most topical treatments. It definitely seems to help healing an... Read More

I have used boiron over the years using their different ointments, i even use it on my pets little "booboo" an scraps.
Overall, i'd say it's par for the course, and not necessarily better or worse than another brand, just comparable.
This is similar to antibiotic ointments, which act the same way.
