Cons

These screws are extremely soft, will strip, and break. The metal is so soft that the heads strip out on the way in, and forget trying to back them out - the square head rounds out. Stripped heads 25% of the time.

These are terrible! They state they are self tapping. Very fragile and not worth the money. They bend, warp and break, even in soft pine. Spend a few cents more and get something from a big box store.

While a bit costly they are the long lasting solution for that issue

Square holes be sure thats what you want instead of a phillips or star

If you want greater quantities go to a large canadian hardware store

I think the shank is slightly thinner than most 8 screws
