Rather than regularly replacing our inrefrigerator water filter we are using a highcapacity external filter that only needs replacing every 3 years10000 gallons

When first installed there was a small water leak which resolved once i removed and reseated the plug and screwed it in fully

Otherwise if you try and run water with no filter and without this thing you will flood your fridge
