Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

Bit has an edge ground into it, which has helped me cut through tree and brush roots. Including a pic of the image * provides of hs1828. Used this in my * spline drive for breaking up concrete.

No problems, no worries, no complaints of any kind. It works great. No issues. No problems. No worries. No complaints. Just a thank you.

The seperate shank makes fast work of compacting jobs. Get 90% compaction in no time. Made in italy from good quality steel.

Cons

The description says hex/spline, and the picture shows a spline shank. The item i received has different shank grooves than the one advertised and i ordered.

Item was listed as being used but it looked new to me, with factory labels still attached

The only draw back i found was that the shaft is a press fit making it almost impossible to remove for storage

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The shaft is sold separately from base i found that kind of odd

Worked well for compacting dirt got a little more dirt into my bin than i would have if i didnt use this tool

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Expect that the shank gets embedded into the plate and isnt easy if even possible to remove

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You must also purchase the shank hs1927 separately

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The shank is just a friction fit in the plate dont be concerned because its not coming off

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You wouldnt want to tamp a huge area with it as its only 5 inches at a time but for smaller jobs it beats the heck out of doing it by hand force
