I was on a job site watching some poor hapless plumber use a dull forstner bit and a worn out hole hawg to drill holes in studs for 12 and it was taking him seriously 23 minutes of hard labor per hole

Drills great holes but tears out on the bottom

Beveled edge tips cut cleanly but remember that the auger tip accelerates the bit so if you want a clean hole all the way through you have to reverse the bit so you can remove and drill from the other side
