The spiral machining on the pilot point pulls the bit though the work very quickly. The threads catch really quickly, and pull the bit right through the wood, requiring minimal leverage or force.

Too aggressive for me. I'd worry that an aggressive bit like this might risk damaging my studs esp.

My cheap ryobi hp108l couldn't handle this, the threads bite into the wood and make it impossible for my drill.
Price
For only $2 this was a steal, yes i would recommend this excellent product.
I'm glad i was able to find it here on amazon at a reasonable price so i can have a full set of bosch spade bits again.
Shipping
The bit i ordered did take a while to arrive, but that was no big deal.
Competitiveness
I would definitely buy this brand again because i have used many different brands of bit and few perform as well as this one.
This bit makes the job faster and is the same quality as the more expensive bits at big box stores.
For the do-it-yourselfer, you couldn't find a better bargain.
The bosch daredevil bits are a little different than your normal spade bits.

I would classify them for rough hole drilling though what i bought them for as they do not make a clean cut hole on the backside unless you use a scrap piece for a backing

This is an outstanding bit but buyer beware as you can read from the majority of reviews with less than 34 stars the majority of these people are doing the wrong thing with these bits

They can go through wood plastic and some metal sheeting i mostly drill into plywood but the poor reviews come from people who arent using the bit for how its suppose to be

Do not use this drill if your either using a battery powered drill or trying to drill in slowly your going to get horrible results

Lets be realistic the bit is using almost flat edges to drill into straight wood you need high speed and high torque to actually drill into the material also the larger the spade the most torque and power you need its part of the reason why you dont see things like 534 spades because then the amount of torque need would beat most drills
