I used the hole saw with a 12 drill to cut holes in a ceiling for recessed lights
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The ceiling was of original 1930s construction 3834 plaster and then some kind of 1234 thick board with a papercardboard backing
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The drill went through the plaster and backer board just fine but sometimes it caught abruptly on the 34cardboard34 backing as it went through
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
This happened twice in drilling ten 434 holes almost knocked me off the ladder and certainly tweaked my wrist

This kind of hole saw is likely not for this application but i didnt want a hole saw bigger teeth as i think that would have been even worse when it broke through
