Pros
The screw-driving functions with different speed level settings are good. Anti-kickback is a bonus, keyless chuck is convenient. From a layman's point of view, having now used this drill, it's easy to use.
Universalimpact 700 is well-built and sturdy. Its ergonomic design ensures comfortable handling during extended use. I prefer a mains powered unit as it will always be ready to work.
Excellent match and perfectly enough for home or a garden. Buy with confidence. Very good all round drill for all you diy peeps out there.
Cons
The lack of manual chuck means you can't tighten.
The chuck on this drill is not fit for purpose. For a drill costing nigh on £100 that idoes not say much for * quality. Never experienced such poor quality chuck.
When depressing the power button as the drill winds down it produces lould clicking noice indicating some gears are gettng skipped, then after about a month of occassional use the titghtening systme started to fail. It is now out of the 30 day amazon ... Read More

A rechargeable battery is all well and good but so ofter before you can start work you have to wait for the battery to recharge

The length of the cable isnt a real issue as most handymen have an extension lead and if they havent should buy themselves one

I dont miss the cordless benefit since i use a 15m extension box and would anyday go for a high powered electric drill like this one rather than an 18v cordless drill with the limited juice from the battery

I read some people having issues with securing the drill bits

I found if you slightly pull the locking ring out you can tighten the drill bit easily as solidly as a drill with a chuck key

Again when your loosening it same action pullout slightly and unscrew
