Pros & Cons

Pros

Knife works well for cutting foam boards! This cut the boards easily and made very little foam chaff (foam particles) like other blades do. Much more economical that a foam cutter at around $400. Tried this out on a 1” thick rubber stall mat (titan de...  Read More

Less stinky than hot wire slicer. Generates very little dust or foam debris. Leaves no trace of dust or crumbs on the floor.

Has worked like a charm! Half the cost of the festool alternative. Inexpensive. Takes a little practice but it saved a lot of money and worked just fine.

Reciprocating razor blade cuts like butter. Cuts through everything smoothly. Takes a little practice with feed n speed. Slices vs cutting.

Made an extended plexiglass base for my jigsaw. Wish they made a similar sawzall-type blade.

Cons

It cuts straight for a foot and then angles to nearly a 45 degree. Makes no difference. It still bends. If you can't cut more than 2' without needing a new blade, that's pointless. These bind, bend, curve inside the foam.

Quality

Just make sure your jig saw is a higher quality saw so your cuts are straight and true.

If you need to cut foam for insulation instillation these blades, made for the purpose, are fantastic!

These blades are made for cutting poly-iso and styrofoam insulation.

The blade cut like butter and no flying foam particles like a saw tooth blade puts out.

Price

Great value at about $12 for 3 blades.

Best price for a foam blade i have seen.

Definitely inexpensive enough to try them out.

Not the best way to do it, but much more economical that a foam cutter at around $400.

Packaging/appearance

I purchased the bosch t313aw3 3 pack set of 6 inch knife edge t-shank jig saw blades from mysterious gamer.

I believe that these are only sold in packs of three.

They are going to be required along with some super glue if you ever buy these things and don't have two cents cuz i definitely...  Read More

Competitiveness

Wish they made a similar sawzall-type blade.
