Just picked these up for $20 on letgo app from somebody local. I have and the amazon site sells the brand new model of these speakers for $100. I also find that putting them farther apart makes them sound better.

Cons

Vocals sound receded and muffled. Sound cracks at high volume on my computer (75%) then it comes back, louder than before. The feedback these speakers get from my phone and internet modem is ridiculous. The shielding is useless.

Hi hats sound splashy and brittle. The klispch sound 100x better at teh same price point. As for the sound, these speakers are not so stellar.

Bose's problem is to use a price tag to impress the buyers in stead of focusing on quality.

Apart from having our jobs outsourced, the imported stuff we're buying ain't the national stuff we used to buy. Thank you for contacting bose corporation. However the construction quality is terrible! Save your money for something else.

I’ve got them hooked up to an apple airport express that i got at thrift store for 20 bucks.

Shipping

Bought these along time ago, didn’t even realize that i bought them from amazon, don’t even know if they still make them.

It arrived quicker then i thought it would.

Packaging/appearance

Someone forgot to pack the power cord, so i was able to use my old cord , and it worked great.

I would have given the speakers 5 stars, but they didn't come with the cd as shown.

Competitiveness

I trust and love the bose brand.

Beyond that, they are pure bose, so if you like the way bose speakers in general present music, you will probably like these desktop units.

I can't complain about 10 years but will not be purchasing the same brand.
