Pros

The bose 321gsii is great for its simplicity and beauty. The emerson has a headphone jack and i decided to try outputting sound through the 321 via a headphone to rca adapter cable. The 321 has a much larger soundstage and better bass than the tv.

The sound clarity is amazing. The audio quality from music cd's is very good.

Cons

After i bought the system, honestly i did find any * changes or improvements, only change is speakers are small.

The sound isn't all that great. It's not even better that my tv's built-in pseudo surround sound. is ok, not the best.

Unit utilizes s-video and has only 1 optical input and 1 coaxil input. Dvd does not work most of time. It locks up and overheats, and we suspect the heat is destroying our dvds. It's borderline impossible to watch a movie without it freezing up.

The most irritating thing about the bose unit is that the audio/video plugs do not stay plugged in. Purchasing a radio from a dollar store would be a better investment. Bose is just a name any more.

Don't be fooled. If you want to have your stomach filled, you have to pay a lot!

If you have problems with the speakers, bose recommends you unplug everything and plug everything back in a certain order.

I saved $100 by getting a "factory-renewal" system directly from the bose outlet store, and i've had no problems with it.

This is one of the most expensive electronic purchases i have ever made but it was worth it!

I did not purchase my bose 321 gs series ii system through amazon, but purchased it for $999 through the bose tv informercial.

I also got free shipping, i got the 30day free trial, and i got free return shipping paid for by bose.

My bose arrived within a few days right to my doorstep.

Packaging/appearance

I unpacked everything and followed the easy directions and found that one of my audio ports on my tv was already taken up by another plug.

Competitiveness

The sound is incredible and it is a lot better than my previous onkyo.

The gs has the newer small speakers that sound much better than the older ones.

I believe this is true among all the other competitors in this market line and that neither one stands out ahead of the other.

I am of the opinion that sony is a directionless company and this is reflected in their products.
