After reading many reviews and briefly auditioning the bose soundlink speaker at a bose store i bit the bullet and picked up the leather version as the sales guy said the nylon cover has a tendency to fray at the edges over time

During my first listening session i was largely disappointed with the sound as there was a distinct lack of high frequency and low frequency response that did not in my mind justify the 350 cost

If one is packing this speaker next to other hard objects im pretty sure this rather pricey and goodlooking product could be cosmetically damaged

I guess i felt that doing so would be a signal that id been duped by the power of their marketing to overspend for something priced for audiophiles but lacking in audiophilequality audio

Knowing that apple will be updating the iphone this fallwith that update likely to include a new dock connector formati didnt want a device with a soontobeobsolete appendage that would take up precious counter space

My first inclination was towards airplay as ive had a good experience using airplay with my appletv and assumed that bluetoothbased speakers were still in a word crap
