I returned this product after one week trial and opting for the sentry radio headphones

It is the transmit base that has problem

I got a 12v dc adapter fairly cheaply and fired the unit up

But only one pair worked and the working pair ran for 3 months and it then lost sound in one ear

You can get these at radio shack or your local auto parts store for something less than 10

Then you attach the rca male cables to the female wires on the transmitter and plug that into a headphone jack to connect to the sound source

The one thing to note is that since this is an ir transmitter if you walk in front of the tv or move away from the front of it transmitter the headphones will lose the audio signal
