Pros & Cons
Pros
Thank you sir or ma'am. And it's pretty durable. The unit is small and compact.
The best guitar stomp pedal on the market in my view. It’s layout is directly comparable to having eight individual pedals glued together. It seems to be very quiet, but when the compressor/expander is running at its highest gain, there is some noise.... Read More
For 98% of guitar players, its layout and use of knobs makes it quick and easy to adjust effects. The memory preset saves remember everything. You turn a knob and it has that effect.
The only drawback is that it doesn't come with a power cord. It runs on batteries or from a wall wart, so it's easily portable. Drawback is the use of 1/8 output for rec/aux out.
Highlights
Quality
Great sound, through headphones or an amp, and very easy to set up.
The footpedal on-off buttons are also big and sturdy, and it’s easy to see and adjust each effect on the fly by turning knobs, ... Read More
Overall just be extremely cautious with the board, its ridiculously fragile.
Been messing with for about a month.
Price
This is hands down the greatest me pedal for under $500.
With the pre-amp, eq/boost, and stomps alone it's worth the price of admission.
The genuine boss power adapter costs about $26, and you can get a knock off for around $12.
I wasted so much money on individual pedals and power supplies and cables.
Shipping
Came to me promptly and clean as a whistle.
After a few minor shipping issues and delays, it has arrived!
The seller was very responsive and supportive of my shipping issues all was handled.
Packaging/appearance
It was kind of frustrating unboxing that and finding a bunch of double a's.
They should put power cord in the package, instead it has to be bought separately.
Competitiveness
I used to have a boss gt-6, and this is even better than that was, way easier to use and save your custom effects.
I had a boss ds1 and a boss dd8 and together they cost as much as the me-80 !
Don't get me wrong, the boss software includes this if you prefer it, but i generally don't use it.
