Pros

It is very easy to get classic metal sounds metallica style, anthrax, megadeth, etc. The eq section is actually really great.

This is my fifth boss pedal, and it's also now my favorite. I have both the boss ds-! It's really good. It's great for medal, btw.

It has just the crunch that i need.

Cons

The ibanez tube screamer sounds scooped and lifeless. There is no sound on pass through and it's suuuuuper quiet when engaged. Get a ds-1 for half the price.

Since i started practicing with the metal zone my life has completely turned around!

You can dial in a lot of different sounds with the eq settings, but whatever you do you cannot get a warm crunch out of this thing.

I parted with the jcm (bad decision) and got a line 6 spider jam (even worse decision).
