Pros & Cons
Pros
The cushion is amazing. I like that it's big, and i can squirm around. No real soreness while remaining very breathable and comfortable.
If you're like me and you've been searching all over for a comfortable desk chair, then this is the chair for you. Looks great, has above average adjustability (more than just up and down), decently comfortable.
The back feels very supportive in the right places but sculpted. When the seat back is not locked there is enough give to allow me to rock/fidget with ease. Because of how the tilt-lock mechanism engages, there is a ‘click-clack’ sound when rocking ba... Read More
The sliding seat adjustment feature lets me sit closer to the desk with great lumbar support. Their website says the chair provides a wide range of ergonomic adjustments to fit your body and seating preference.
It's incredibly easy to assemble, and it offers great lumbar support (which i really need in a chair) solidly built without being too heavy. Sturdy design firstly.
Cons
Seller could not confirm what they might send me to replace the wrong / non-fitting hardware. Plastics start to crack after a year of use. Do yourself a favor and buy a used herman miller off of a local trade app for the same price.
Highlights
Quality
Firstly, the build quality is quite sturdy.
It’s very comfortable, stays very cool and is obvious very good quality.

I researched chairs for 2 months and ended up with the black and white version.
Price
I initially thought it was too good to be true at this price.
Shipping
Laura davidson is awesome to communicate with (i had some shipping questions and actually spoke to a human when i called them directly).
Shipping took a full month but it was worth it!
Packaging/appearance
Love how easy this chair was to assemble, packaging was excellent.
Both chairs are fantastic, but for the price, the bowery chair slightly edges out the sayl .
Competitiveness
It's a good-quality rubber, but it kinda reminds me of car tires.
My husband has a sayl; he bought it when they were a bit more reasonably priced.
It’s based on the herman miller design and for about a third the price it’s good value.
- armrest has started to crack after about a year's useoverall a decent chair but doesn't really match it's msrp price in my opinion.

It was easy enough to assemble but as soon as i sat in it i said to myself wait theres no way thats the lowest setting
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
So i had to completely disassemble it which was a lot harder than putting it together

However customer service was excellent at processing the return and offering options to help although i ultimately still couldnt keep the chair

As you can see in pictures to my ocd self i couldn’t just let it slide though it’s only cosmetic i contacted the company and they assured me it is brand new and not pre“used” for a lack of better terms chair is comfy and comparable to the real version which is the herman miller sayl but at a little over 200 less

I’m going to play with switching the arm rest sides so that the adjustment becomes a backward shifting vertical and see if that works

Even if it helps it won’t change the fact that they can’t incline with you like they would if attached to the back
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I would rather them be attached to the back and be able to slide forwardback

This in itself isn’t an issue in fact i like that but because of how the tiltlock mechanism engages there is a “clickclack” sound when rocking back and forth between the boundaries of that give
