These valves are very solid and are exactly what filled my need for a high quality replacement for some old warn out gate valves.

Nice high quality shut off valve with all solid brass parts.

I have used these before and you can still turn them after several years when the cheap ones feel like they will break off

Those have rubber rings inside that fail over time - particularly on hot-water lines.

Price

Happily, some *are* affordable (although this item can be sourced less expensively elsewhere).

Amazon sent 1/4" compression outlet valves inside boxes labeled 3/8" outlet instead.

In addition, they were the cheap g2cr19x versions, the ones with the plastic feeling handle and plastic balls.

The confusion for some is brought about because brasscraft makes 2 different lines.
