This is the same thermometer used in my kid's pediatric office. The accuracy is impeccable. Very accurate and dependable.
Can be switched to celsius readings. Has been right on with temperature.
Cons
He concurs - it does not work. No instruction in the trouble shootings. Do yourself a favor and get the exergen temporal artery thermometer instead.

Compared to a rectal temperature it does read a bit off

So just be aware that the placement of the reader in the ear needs to be aimed into the canal properly for an accurate reading

Easy to read color coded light out put blue for lowdid not get a reading green for normal red to indicate fever with number read out of course
