Quite often if you do get a signal it sets the wrong time eg standard time instead of summer time and then there is nothing you can do to change that as it will reset itself regularly you just have to learn to live with your clock telling the wrong time

It is possible to inadvertently switch off the alarm if you dont press the snoozelight button far enough to the right of the alarm button see the third picture down on the amazon page for this product and you will see what mean

It could be that the black and clear on the lcd is inverted in that model
