Pros
Base is awesome as it cleans and lubricates the blades. Much gratitude to the repair center. Thank you mr. Braun for gifting us this magical device.
A full charge gives me weeks of shaving without having to worry about recharging. It shaves extremely close and after a couple of weeks i’ve found my shaving style to get a great shave. Shaving with a wet face is a huge plus.
The costco version seems like a good deal although if you wait it seems there are sales often on all braun versions. It is more than i want to pay for a razor, but it exceeded my expectations. Hopefully it lasts and justifies the high price. For 200 b... Read More
Cons
Braun series 9 is a clunky and does a horrible job at shaving. Never got a clean shave on my face. Had to use the the built-in trimmer to cut long hair on my neck. Don’t take a shaving holiday.
The cleaner is still reasonably clean but evaporates completely in less than two weeks. I reset the replacement timer thinking that would help. Shipped and returned within one week.
It is not ergonomic, it’s like holding a small brick. Cleaning is complicated. I dislike razor bumps.
Very cheaply made and barely cuts. Try the panasonic machines you may be happier, and your wallet might be happier as well.

Hasn’t even been a year and it’s falling apart… the button popped out this morning in the middle of my husband shaving.
Price
I haven't used an electric razor in years but amazon had this one on sale and i've been very happy.
It is expensive but worth the money
I hesitated buying this because of the price.

Update: we sent it in to be fixed for braun’s warranty - they fixed it and had it back to us within the week.
Competitiveness
It works much better than my previous one from a different brand.
At one time the panasonics seemed best to me, but some years back i feel that they got surpassed by other brands.

Prior to learning that method no electric razors at work because they would just make my skin feel like its on fire turn it red and i would get an embarrassing rash

Once i grew a beard i had to start looking for another razor to shave my neck below the beard

The braun wont shave well close to the beard edge without taking some of the beard off
