Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The price is about 5x what i expected, but then it has performed dutifully for nearly 30 yrs, so thinking it over. The blades are as sharp as they were 13 years ago.

The grounds, when ground fine (for espresso, etc. Are fine. This grinder just kicks out the power and performs.

Braun products are well manufactured, sturdy and perform well over the long term. For me, the name braun indicates intelligent designs (with a particular purpose in mind) and durability. This product just performs great.

The cord wraps up underneath for storage.

Cons

It’s a cheap brand disguised as high quality. Do not buy this piece of junk.

The grind is very uneven. Over time wipping with tissue just won't do as the coffee or spices residue builts up inside the grove and crevices. It is also very noisy.

Almost fell out of my chair when i saw the prices.

The price is about 5x what i expected, but then it has performed dutifully for nearly 30 yrs, so thinking it over.

The price shocked me - i think i paid about $20 for mine at the bay - 20 years ago.

Competitiveness

I ground up some flax seed & found it super-easy to use (a no-brainer), quick, and yielding an even fine grind.

I bought it to go with my bodum press.

If you have a coffeemaker with 6oz cups instead of 5 or one that does 12 cups instead of 10 max you could possibly have capacity issues.

No way in the world would i pay $100.
