The little food chopper is a convenient add-on. It does more than one thing - chopping and blending - and does them well. Braun makes excellent immersion/hand blenders.
The freezer tray is great. It is floppy silicone, so like other silicone kitchen items, it has to be placed in the freezer on a tray to keep it steady. Comes with a mini processor for chunky foods.
Cons
It is not this model but at braun's webpage there is no text which says this model does not have the leakage. Broke after 3 month of weekly use. Rice, oatmeal, proteins like beef and chicken can all be reduced to a slurry in no time.

This set includes a beaker and handy spatula along with the other pieces and does not sit still for long at my house.
I have not used the mini food processor unit which comes with the blender as it is too large for my application.
Competitiveness
We like them both and use them more often than the full-size blender.
I have an all-clad hand blender with multiple speeds, but rarely use more than one standard speed that seems to do most everything.

The handles on both are “grippy” which is a nice feature in general the black just one looked dirty immediately
