Streets ahead in build quality of the philips rotary shavers and quality of shave very similar.
Packaging/appearance
In the pack you also get a travel case, charger/charging stand, cleaning brush and accessory bag.
Competitiveness
Only buy on offer as it not worth the full recommended price.
I wish manufacturers would include a 3-pin adapter in the pack, it would add very little to the cost.

Battery life is excellent and i have done a 14 day holiday without needing to charge although i probably only shaved 1012 days but it still had power left when it went back on the chargingcleaning station

Unlike the series 5 this series 9 did not come with a small plastic guard to use when travelling
