Pros & Cons
Pros
Braun 9 series razor is as close as a blade as a de razor. Perfect for shaving my bald head. The norelco is quieter, not as bulky, and the rotary shaver head does give a very comfortable shave, no raw feeling after your shave. Kiehl's post-shave repai... Read More
It follows the contours of your face with ease. It also includes a slide-out trimmer that creates awesome beard lines and sideburns. It cuts everything in one pass without cutting my skin. It preserves the pristine collar of my crisp white shirts.
The 9 series has a very impressive first pass shave. The 9 does a great job of trimming my hair. I find myself chasing rebel hairs with the 9x that the 7 clears much more easily and faster.
This series 9 is a game changer. I use that as my travel shaver reserving the some position on my bathroom for the superlative 9 series.
First lasted about 4 years. The charge lasts forever. The battery life is enormous. I just wish my last one hadn't lasted as long.

Highlights
Quality
This is by far the best shaver i have ever owned and i would highly recommend it.
This razor cuts smooth, fast, and reasonably close.
Cleaning station did not last long before it stopped working only a few months made it just passed the return policy window.
It is nearly impossible to clean with brush due to intricate shaver head design.
Price
Pricey, but some things are worth the cost.
Doing the math, however, it comes out to about $8/mo cost of ownership over 6 years.
Competitiveness
Comparison:9xxx vs 7xxx9x pros-the 9 series has a very impressive first pass shave.

For the last few super difficult hairs, i use a philips oneblade.
It's the mercedes of razors but some would rather buy the hyundai version and almost get the same results.
