Pros

This is the best cordless razor i ever had. Very nice battery life, high rpm, auto cleaner. The battery life is great too.

The charging/cleaning base is larger than any of the previous versions. The automated cleaning feature is a wonderful convenience. The negatives, extra cost for the cleaner solution but worth it.

Used the 3 series for the longest time and decided to upgrade after all these years. They are expensive, but thanks to amazon days, made it somewhat more affordable. Well worth the money to upgrade.

Cons

The braun series 9 is an embarrassment the braun name. I feel that this shaver is a total piece of junk and a total waste of money, particularly for a price of $310, which is what i paid on amazon a few days ago.

The dock devours the cleaning solution leading me to have to fill it after just 2-3 runs. The indicator never turns off. Sent it in to be repaired under the warranty. When i connect it to the charger it shows that the battery is charged but the power ... Read More

Bottom line up front: if you can get this razor at a good sale price, then don't hesitate to buy it.

That said, there is a big negative with this razor, and that is the price.

Competitiveness

I haven't been able to shave without getting dozens of ingrowns for 17 years until using this shaver.

Much better than previous shavers i've owned.

I had a phillips model with round shavers.
