I've been using a norelco wet and dry for 12 years till it crapped out last week.
If you pull the razor across your face with the curved screen followed by the brass cutting screen in front you will not get a close shave.
Price
This razor, while a little pricey, is absolutely worth the extra money.
If you use this for many years, you can justify the expense by amortizing the cost.
This razor cost about 3x what i paid for my norelco.
I’m glad i have it but no that it’s expensive

My best analogy would be the difference between a toyota and a lexus.
Shaver provides a very smooth, close shave rivaling a straight edge razor.
For ear hair i have found both the norelco philips shavers 3800 and 3600 do a better job than the braun.
The panasonic arc has always been far superior, but the braun series 9 closes the gap.

The powered cleaner by braun is nice and you only need to use it intermittently

Once you switch to the braun especially 9 series you will not go back to regular razor

Well it is for some patches of skin and its not for the patches it misses the neck

It can get a smooth as butter shave as close as a razor but after a month i still consistently have patches of skin with hair that ive gone over several times still protruding from my skin

If you have a photo shoot or a presentation or a really high profile gig youre gonna need to shave with a razor in addition to this shaver to get all those patches it did not get the first half a dozen times around
