Pros
This is a massive upgrade over the belkin it has replaced. The sockets are angled which makes plugging in different shaped plugs and chargers much easier. It is larger than the standard but the space between each socket is practical.
It is reassuringly well-rated for such use, so i hope it works. Light enough to be attached with double sided velcro tape upside down under a desk. Illuminated power switch is good and also has a surge protection circuit with light.
Cons
If you gently squeeze the sides you can see and feel obvious movement along the joint. When it gets stiff, i have to go under the desk to apply direct force and push directly on top of it because it won't give (a bit like forcing a clamp on a scooter ... Read More

I use to turn appliances off everyday and appreciate the quality feel to the large illuminated on/off switch.
I bought two of these and am very pleased with the quality and the spacing of the plugs.

Screw holes on the back allow a vertical or horizontal mounting.
Competitiveness
The cable is a decent length too if you need to use it as an extension in addition to its multi-socket uses.
This is a well-made and very sturdy extension lead which can be attached to a wall either vertically or horizontally.

One of the most problematic plugs i have are the tp link smart plugs and this can accommodate them with some sensible plug arrangement
