Pros & Cons
Pros
The variable temperature feature is excellent for teas. It also has a 20-minute hold setting, so once it reaches the desired temp.
Cons
The breville kettle is made of polycarbonate. I don't feel comfortable with bpa around my boiling (or close to boiling) water. It just beeps and won't boil any more.
We are now finding that it’s very very inferior.
The warranty expired on april 14, 2015. The reason the screw popped out is that the housing that it threaded into sheared.
Highlights
Quality
It exudes elegance with its sleek design, and the stainless steel construction ensures durability.
I am thoroughly impressed with the style and quality of the breville 1.
I am not bothered by the noise it does when you first plug it in or when the water is ready.
Beeps when its ready, keeps it hot if i forget or am busy, and then beeps again much later on to remind me.
Shipping
Except that i bought it refurbished on amazon, came in and didnt work, and breville replaced it immediately.
Competitiveness
Yes, it's a little loud, but comparing it to a backing truck is a little much.
