This maker has a fantastic overflow feature (like a moat for batter) on off, dial for timer is really all that is required. The concept off the moat around the perimeter works to control batter seepage.
Makes ohh so great and delicious waffles! I make whole wheat sourdough waffles in it and they're crispy and perfect every time! Wonderful to use as a breakfast or bedtime snack for hungry kids!
Set cooking two notches to left of midpoint in light range. Extra browning function comes in handy too. Belgian waffle setting, waffles are fluffy, yet crisp.

Price
We hesitated to buy it because of the price, but my husband and i have a weekly waffle brunch, and this thing is wonderful.
So this is a very expensive waffle iron, i fully admit that.
I bought it directly although a little pricey.
I can't justify 5 stars for a $250 waffle maker.

I contacted the company and had courteous, prompt and outstanding service to replace the appliances at no cost.
The item arrived quickly and all in one piece (important).
Received this waffle maker two days ago and had to wait for the weekend to make my first waffles.
It delivered quicker than what amazon suggested so i was happy about that.
Competitiveness
I've had other waffle makers in the past, none of them come even close to this one!
I have returned other waffle makers because they didn't work well at all.
Unlike another brand we had, this one is easy to keep clean.
After quite some research i settled for this high end model from breville which happened to be one of the most expensive ones, too.

My last waffle maker didnt have a timer so i had to set my own timer and then was often either too early or too late depending on how long the iron stayed open in between waffles

I have had several waffle irons in the past from very cheap 25 to moderate 65 and to be honest they were such a pain to clean that i used them maybe 2 or 3 times each and then they just sat in my cupboard while i made pancakes

In the short time i have had then i would say i make waffles 12x a month usually make 12 or so per batch so end up freezing some otherwise would use it more

So i get that the price tag is very high but i have already got more use out of this in a few short months than i did with years of my cheaper irons combined
