Pros
Makes a fantastic addition to any coffee lovers kitchen. It is a little taller than i thought, with the bean hopper on top, so i have to slide it out from under my cupboards. Likes:- espresso and lattes are yummy.
The machine is solidly built and looks really nice on the counter. Everything still works perfectly. Once you get the hang of it, it’s super easy to use.

Cons
Been calling all week and even used the callback feature, still nothing. The gentleman who answers the phone is quite apologetic in telling me that the technical department folks who i need to talk to are not in, or in a meeting and will call me back.... Read More
This is not only an inconvenience -- it's a major safety hazard. It's not possible to deactivate the feature, so it's an ongoing risk. Breville customer service is almost non existent.
The filters are nowhere to be found.
Temperature fluctuates too much. With a non-pressurized basket, the temperature is ~150f. It would be so easy to set the temperature too high by mistake--there's no way to check it--and to scald yourself or someone else.

Quality
The durable construction promises longevity and the espresso quality is top-notch.
It has been very durable, and we haven’t ran into any issues with cleaning etc.
Do not make coffee without the tray being inserted, because the unit will discharge water every time and will go all over the countertop.
We recently got back into espressos and this machine is dynamite!
Price
So thanksgiving 2024 this dropped to 695 plus tax.
Pricey, but i purchased it on sale and would definitely purchase it again!
