Pros & Cons
Pros
This coffee grinder is fantastic with a 16oz bean capacity and 60 grind settings. The stainless steel burrs protect coffee oils. Will keep the breville for the rare occasion i want to brew a pot of drip, if i can find my drip machine, that is!
Cleaning it out frequently is helpful to longevity. Easy to tweak +/- for any dose level you desire. Built in catch tray and other accessories make it an enticing bundle.
The large portafilter cradle is a great advantage for those days when i need that extra jolt of caffeine. It fits perfectly under our cabinets, saving valuable countertop space.
Cons
Two hundred bucks for less than two years is not a good value. Not good for breville’s reputation for being a high quality brand. Oxo is much better art, $100 less!
This is what they sent back to me stating they would not post my review. The breville customer service is probably the worst we have ever dealt with. Very disappointing customer service for a decent product.
Highlights
Quality
We’ve been grinding our own beans for many years, this is the best grinder that’s easy to set up and adjust!
The stainless steel burrs are sturdy and efficient.
I have had the the breville smart grider as my daily grinder for eleven years when it finally started to fail.
I will say do not use flavored beans with this the oils on it jams it up and the grind doesn’t come out nice.
Price
Great value general easy to use grinder.
Overall a very good espresso grinder in the $200 price range.
I never would've thought i'd spend over $200 on a coffee grinder, but i totally get it now.
Could not afford a commercial grinder to start.
Shipping
It arrived last night and we had coffee within an hour!

Fortunately there is a feature where you can open up and get to the upper burr plate and adjust it a little bit finer

If you do adjust the upper burr plate do not go finer than a setting of 34534
