I'm a seattleite, this touches the heart. It was well packaged though. Not a single regret. Americano has 3 built in settings and you can add 6 more settings depending on how you like your americanos.

This machine grinds the beans for you and tamp them into the portafilter for you. Since i have the whole bean hopper below a counter i sometimes don’t realize the hopper is empty until i’ve started a grind/tamp session.

The coffee is omg so good. It keeps me out of the unreasonably priced coffee shops.

Cons

Breville recommends 5-20 days from the roast date, but i personally feel beyond 2 weeks the quality of the espresso goes down. It's the worst customer experience i've ever had.

This is unreasonable and unacceptable. This machine is a temperamental pain in the *!

Water pump, heater and flow controls aren't up to the task. The pump also leaks into the drip tray and onto the counter.

Reviewer says the grinder doesn't work. It overfills during grinding. Buyer says it's better than starbuck's coffee.

No need for expensive coffee shops as once you master how to use it per your preferences, you become your own barista.

It’s so reliable and the only home espresso machine i’ve found that is less than $5000 that adequately froths milk.

However the first machine arrived and would not reach temperature.

Packaging/appearance

I got this expresso maker a couple of weeks ago, the packaging was good, product well protected.

I love that the box includes all you need, except coffee and milk!

Competitiveness

The breville oracle makes wonderful espresso, better than any of my previous espresso machines (saeco, gaggia, jura).

The oracle case more than most espresso makers, you can pick up a super-matic for less that will do one button brewing.

The oracle does eliminate half to two thirds of the parameters to produce specialty drinks.

In the end, i picked the older oracle to get a little more direct and textured control.
