I just wanted to assure all those shoppers with dreams of a quiet intuitive microwave oven that functioned more like a tool or helpmate than a foe. This one is a gem.

During the cooking cycle it is the quietest microwave i ever had. No annoying slamming sound. The sensor is extremely accurate.

Cons

Don’t be fooled by its looks. Breville has slick advertisements and neat marketing adds but when it comes down to quality the product is poor. It is high priced for what you get.

It’s easy to use, very powerful, and love the quick access buttons on the inside of the door.

Soft close stopped working after 5 months use.

Cooking, reheating, and defrosting have become an effortless task with the smart cook, reheat & defrost feature.

Price

Breville might be a little pricey for some, but totally worth it in our household.

For $400, i expected more than two years of use.

For that reason, i think this is too much money.

I’m aware there are a few features that the clock is needed for start times but for nearly $400 that clock needs to be illuminated.

In less than 7 minutes we boxed that thing up, sent it back and ordered this breville.

They sent me a shipping label to return it for a replacement.
