Pros
The flavour is fantastic, the food is cooked evenly. It cooks evenly and quickly.
The oven outperforms our range oven in every way and is our go to oven. It's still completely useable. Works like a hot * and upgraded from my last oven similar to this one after ten years.
The toasting preset is not a dealbreaker. And it looks good on our countertop as well!
Air fry option is worth the extra cost. Great for keeping electricity bills down. And it saves having to have a separate air fryer freeing up counter space.
Cons
For the premium price, this design flaw really disappoints me.

The air fry function is the best thing i've discovered, love it
Easy to use and to clean and makes the best toasts you'll ever tasted
My previous breville smart oven died after 10 - 15 years of continual use.
It takes over 5 minutes to toast 2 slices of bread and it's not that toasty, just warm.
Price
I do note, however, that it’s grossly overpriced here at $400+.
The unit is expensive but well worth it.

The breville smart oven pro that died was the best toaster oven we've ever had and this is even better.
Purchased this breville toaster oven/air fryer to replace a previous breville toaster oven which was well over 10 yrs old.

We had a breville smart oven pro that gave us seven or eight years of fantastic service but it started shorting out and i didnt think it was worth fixing

The wings and fries are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and i never would have thought of making grilled cheese sandwiches in the air fryer but i saw a recipe online and tried it
