Highlights
Quality
Very sturdy, easy to clean, rarely burns toast unless you want it to, easy timer and temp control
This is the very best toaster i have ever used!
The 'doneness' slider has a series of leds that show the time remaining on the toasting cycle.
Then side wires gently snug up against the sides to keep it positioned in the middle for even toasting.
Price
All these great features come at a reasonable price.
Save your $$ and buy a normal priced toaster.
It is worth what ever the cost.
But still, for $200, it should be a built-in feature.
Competitiveness
In search of a toaster that could toast large sourdough slices, this was the fifth toaster tried, and the most expensive by far.
I've tried many toasters before, but none compare to the breville bta830xl die-cast smart toaster.
Had purchased a similar kitchen aide toaster.

Had purchased a similar kitchen aide toaster

This toaster holds two long slices of bread in each slot 4 slices or one tall homemade loaf slice in each slot 2 slices
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It is super quiet throughout the only drawback is it doesnt pop up like other toasters ive used instead it quietly raises the toasted bread when finished so you have to keep an eye out

The toaster is insulated so the outside panels stay totally cool during toasting
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
This insulation probably means the toasting uses less energy as its not radiating heat

Not sure how long a toaster should last but this lasted from november 2021 to about may 2023 before it stopped toasting both sides of the bread
