If you're ok with all of that, i had zero issue with the actual smart kettle.
I let the water warm and when it's ready, i add the tea bags, leaving the tags over the edge and holding them in place with the lid.
Price
For paying that expensive price i expected more.
If you can get is on sale for an awesome price, then i'd say go for it.

You can use loose leaf tea, the infuser is finely meshed, or simply put the tea bag in the infuser.
I find that the gaskets on the lid are very strong--too strong, in my opinion, because i need two hands to get it out of the kettle.

It brews up like a champ and works to make amazing tea.

After just couple use the bottom if it get black spots that is not nice on my counter

Theres a line on both sides that says 17007 cups max the instructions say not to fill above that line because of the risk of boiling over

All is well and good so far but if you want your tea to stay warm you are out of luck

I do however still make use of my little zero japan teapot for hot tea probably just out of habit
