Pros & Cons
Pros
The breville tea maker ensures that your tea is always ready when you need it. It can be set to automatically start a tea steep at your desired time and settings. The lcd timer is a convenient addition, helping me keep track of the brewing time. It's ... Read More
Do not break the carafe. It is a lot like a like the stainless stanley coffee thermos. Replacement parts are available - if you go to their website to order more powder cleaner, you'll see they also have parts like the basket and lid that can be purch... Read More
Just be careful not to bump it against the sink too hard & it’s worth every penny! This is well worth the price. Your mileage many vary.
The breville tea maker is incredibly easy to use, with intuitive controls that even a tea novice like myself can navigate. Despite my grousing, i thoroughly enjoy this tea maker and the tea that it produces. They fit nicely ( albeit a bit scrunching n... Read More
The brushed stainless steel design not only adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen but also ensures durability. The sleek design and shiny stainless steel finish make it a real showstopper.
Cons
Tea maker seems ridiculous. These aren’t 1st i expect they’re refurbished, seconds, or christmas returns! At the prices they charge for this junk is to much to expect a modicum of quality and durability?
The warranty is good for one year. If that is breville's warranty, then it is next to useless. Who know what else is in the fine print that is supposed to protect customers from company liability. Think they know it is a design flaw and don't want to ... Read More
Amazon charge a restocking fee, which seems non-sensical given that one cannot restock a defective product.

It appears very well made, very solid and heavy, especially the carafe.
I bought this tea machine in 2011 after throwing away several metal ones which always accumulated scale and water began to taste terrible.
After all of these years, i managed to break the glass carafe after cleaning, and sadly found out they didn’t have a replacement carafe.
Price
And while i acknowledge that no tea kettle should cost $300, and this is a want and definitely not a need, it’s a very nice add... Read More
Easy to useother than cost, no cons.
The re-sale market for a carafe is absurd (over $100).
It’s pricey but for me it’s more than worth it.
Shipping
I have ordered the newer model and can’t receive it soon enough!
Competitiveness
I was leaning toward the breville at it is tea oriented and i drink a variety of tea types in spite of the significant price di... Read More
Overall, i highly recommend the breville tea maker to all tea enthusiasts out there.
Breville sells all of the tea maker components except the carafe.
I was settled on 2 options, this breville tea maker or a ninja coffee maker with a tea brew option.
