Pros

This waffle maker will become our next generational kitchen heirloom. The table was eerily quiet when we began to eat.

I go by the old standby - cook until steam stops coming out. It's simple to use, can be set on auto or manual with a darkness control - and beeps to let you know when the waffles are done.

Not only did the waffle maker live up to our expectations they surpassed them. The breveille meets every one of my expectations for a waffles maker.

Each waffle square holds about 1/2 cup of batter. Breville includes an instruction booklet and recipes. My go-to waffle recipe is the buttermilk waffles in the king arthur flour cookbook.

Cons

The cooking surface of the waffle iron contains a chemical that can cause cancer. If it's teflon, it seems they would have simply told me that. This is the most disappointing breville product i have purchased.
