Against lid failed to open after two weeks as per some other reviews so sending back for replacement and temperature settings such as 90 switch element off at 90 but due to stored heat in the element actual water temperature continues to rise over the one actually set

I like this kettle because its made of glass and steel so its easy to clean it and you dont need to worry about health aspects of waterplastic interaction there are some plastic parts but they dont normally contact with hot water the fact that it is clear makes any special water level displaying tubes that you can find in other designs unnecessary so if you clean it with some chemicals you dont need to worry about residuals it is actually intelligent one and from my point of view it behaves exactly as advertised and in very reasonable way i have seen some reviews claiming that it doesnt work but from my point of view either they are based on misunderstanding or particular unit was faulty it allows you to prepare good tea using water heat to the proper temperature it may be 8085 for japanese tea it may be 6570 for mate etc

I have seen several reviews claiming that it stops working properly after several months and frankly the design doesnt look very robust

Im chancing my arm with this breville since the conventional turn on crystal clear breville kettle it replaced died from the same conditions barely after a year it that reported by other users namely sticking lid although i could overcome that issue by carefully using some brilliant silicon spray and the turnon button refused to stay on

But visually and operatively it is gr8 ive barely had it 3 weeks and am very careful when opening the lid holding down the catch button on closing and keeping fingers crossed the sticking lid problem wont reappear in which case it will be going back however thats done
