Pros & Cons
Pros
The locking mechanism allows vertical storage maximizing counter space. It fits better on the countertop, if leaving it out is important. Zero cleanup is required, actually, if you place a sheets of parchment paper between the grill plates and your br... Read More
It heats quickly, heats evenly and the hinged lid works perfectly. It heats and toasts sandwiches evenly and perfectly.
It changed my day, it is saves my time. Only con is that there's no on off button. We use a power strip with it now that has an on /off switch to solve the problem.
It’s almost foolproof with the single temp/cook setting. A tad smaller. Temperature control is by observation. But in all honesty, the smaller unit cooks better.
Cons

After two problematic panini presses, what are the odds that i'd get two duds? The heating element burner out within a minute of plugging it in. The shaft was broken, but there is no on/off switch.
Highlights
Quality
The on/ready lights ensure that your sandwich is grilled to perfection while the nonstick surface prevents any messy cleanups.
The on/ready lights are a great feature, as is the nonstick surface.
We had one of these for 10 years before it broke down.
Without it the crumbs create a mess and get stuck in the corners.
Price
But hey, you get what you pay for, and this press is worth every penny!
I was hoping that he would get a duplicate (so that i could keep it for his dad and me$😂it’s on my christmas list!
Competitiveness
The krups stopped working and we could not justify the cost to replace the item with the same item.
Much more expensive than competitors, but totally worth it in my opinion.
Didn’t know i would love it so much, but it is much more than a panini maker.
